Laura Neitzel came to AMS Pictures in 2005, bringing with her a renaissance of skills and experiences. After leaving a previous career as a business law paralegal in order to pursue a Master’s degree, she taught middle school English until given the chance to pursue her dream job working with a notable Austin-based documentary filmmaker.
After her stint in Austin, Laura spent the next nine years as Executive Director of a non-profit media arts organization while also pursuing film projects on the side. As a freelance writer/producer, she worked on a number of documentary projects as well as two episodes of Days That Shook the World for the BBC/Lion Television Scotland.
Her varied background has given Laura a rare combination of talents in both creative content and project management. At AMS Pictures, Laura has served as both project manager and content producer on several multi-unit e-learning projects in the healthcare realm as well as other projects. She has been a writer, researcher and field producer on eight of AMS’ original documentaries, and scriptwriter for the Veria series Natural Companions. This Jill-of-All-Trades brings dedication, a high level of skill, and passion to every project.
